Mexican Tortilla Salad Bowl is one of those dishes I always see at restaurants. It’s the perfect thing to order for lunch on weekends because it’s not like a traditional salad, has so many flavors, fresh veggies, beans, cheese, and that crunchy outer layer gives this dish a special place in my salad list. But why to wait for going out and order it when you can make this simple fancy dish at home.
The only cooking involved is heating up the tortillas to turn them into bowls and sauteing veggies (which is totally optional). The rest of the ingredients can just be thrown together and tossed into a salad. I love piling the ingredients into the tortilla bowls to fill them with flavor.
At restaurants, taco salad bowls are made by deep-frying extra-large flour tortillas in a specially-shaped frying basket. So today I’m going to show you a step-by-step process to make crispy salad bowls at home, without deep-frying! Yeah, you heard it right, without deep frying. We will be air-frying them with only a few drops of oil, you may even bake them in the oven.
Delicious!!!! Omg amazing!!! Perfect for a weekend dinner!!! so yummy! It’s perfect for a hot summer night when you didn’t feel like heating up the house with the oven. I added cheese for a little something extra. Serving Salad in these perfect-looking tortilla bowls will really complete the salad. Making these tortilla bowls at home in the air-fryer is so easy. You may even prepare them in advance. All you need are soft tortillas and a bowl!
I would definitely recommend everyone to make this and I am pretty much sure you definitely gonna make this again! This was the best salad ever! I would never believe that salad could taste so good! If you are bored of eating regular salad and would like to try something new, healthy, delicious, and full of nutrients salad then I will recommend making Bean Salad too. You will definitely love it.
